The Spark o Matic team meet up with the Tech no Warriors to finished the robot and start on the programming for the robot.
The Spark-o-Matic team has gotten even closer to finishing our drive train, Once we connect the last chain link the drive train will be completed, we also talked about judging and designing the mechanism to grab the cubes.
Chris Bell, Angel Walton, Emmanuel McDougalWith drive trains, you have to think about speed, traction and maneuverability. You can't put the motor right on the wheel. a. the wheels can be at different heights, b. having the wheels chained is better than having motors run separately. During the game, one wheel can lose traction, but if they're all chained together, the other wheel it's chained to can pull. Why is traction important? So after going over what we learned last week we started to talk about the teams shirts and which logo to put on our teams robot, Binder, and what we would do next. |
